OPERATION  CHRISTMAS  CHILD

Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes are available in the Lobby.  Please take one or more and fill them with all kinds of goodies for children all around the world to be blessed at Christmas time.  The Good News of Jesus Christ is accompanied with each box given away.  Hold onto your filled boxes until Collection Sunday on November 16th and we will pray over the boxes that day before they are sent out around the world.  We need lots of volunteers in different areas to make this year another success for Operation Christmas Child.  Please contact Mary Rice, marycrice21267@yahoo.com .

Q4  2025  Service  Opportunities

As we head into the season of thankfulness and giving, we are reminded about the need of so many in our community that live daily with food insecurity. You can help meet the urgent need in many ways.  One option is to bring nonperishable items to the church for the little pantry in our parking lot. Donations of food items may also be made to Maysville Helping Hands and Eastside Christian Ministries. Donations of time and service are also greatly appreciated at Salvation Army and Christ’s Table.  There’s even an incentive.  Report your hours worked, by scanning the QR Code in the “GO” section of the Lobby to be entered into a drawing.
A Quarterly Winner gets $200 to donate to the charity (501c3) of your choice!
ALL volunteer hours not held at Rolling Plains qualify!

COMMUNION  VOLUNTEERS

Communion Servers are needed at both our 8:15 and 10:00 AM services on the first Sunday each month.  If you are interested or have questions, please contact Stefanie Kahle (740) 319-9681.  Please indicate the worship service you attend.

Nursery  &  Pre-K  Volunteers

Our nursery and Pre-K children need your help as our congregation grows as the youngest generation.  Contact Jennifer Lawson (Jennifer@rollingplainsgmc.com) with questions.

MY  LITTLE  PANTRY

My Little Pantry is located at the entrance of our parking lot.  It is a box for folks who would like to donate food items to those who may have less than they need for their family. You can drop items off in the container in the Lobby, and we will make sure it gets put in the Pantry.  You are also welcome to place any food items in the pantry yourself.

S.  ZANESVILLE FOOD PANTRY VOLUNTEERS

The S. Zanesville Food Pantry has a volunteer opportunity.  They are in need of volunteers to fill shifts on Mondays and Thursdays at the pantry. The volunteers work 9:00 AM to Noon. These folks would be packing orders and interacting with clients.  If you are interested volunteering, or want more information please contact Dean Holtsclaw (440) 829-4929.

SERVING  FOOD @  SALVATION  ARMY

A group emerged from Rolling Plains this year with a desire to serve meals at the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen Monday – Friday from 3:15 – 5:00 PM.  We would like to add volunteers to the team.  One day a month, one day a week, or whatever availability you have.

VOLUNTEERING WITH FAMILY MINISTRIES

RP Family Ministries needs you!  We are looking to add to our volunteer teams to minister to our growing group of children.  Among needs in the nursery and other areas, we especially need help in our children’s classrooms on Sunday mornings and Thursday evenings.
